Jamie Nelson

Jamie is an experienced counsellor who has worked for Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust for many years which has given him a wealth of experience supporting families, children and young people.

Jamie has also worked as a therapist in various settings with both adults and young people, promoting and nurturing the growth and development of both mental and emotional wellbeing. He provides a confidential space in a calm and safe environment with appointments available in the evenings.

Jamie works with but not limited to, issues around attachment, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, domestic abuse and relational issues.

Some of Jamie's further training and specialist interests include adult and child trauma, drug and alcohol dependency in both adults and young people, and those living with, or affected by HIV.

Jamie works from both an eclectic approach (where together you will decide the most appropriate and effective evidence based approach to create a tailored plan to suit your needs) and an integrative approach (a more organic blended approach using a number of psychological theories and interventions).

Jamie also manages his own successful private practice working with both adults and young people.
