Annabell is a qualified person-centred, professional counsellor, who is calm and friendly and is enthusiastic about helping others to improve their mental health and quality of life.
When working with young people and adults, her aim as a person-centred counsellor is to offer a space to be themselves, in a calm and safe environment where they do not feel judged.
Annabell does not believe that 'one size fits all' when it comes to counselling, respecting the client as an individual who has a unique set of experiences, and a unique response to them. She tries her best to understand you and what you have experienced and will tailor her approach accordingly.
Over the last six years Annabell has worked successfully with young people from the ages of 11-18, in mainstream educational settings, who have experienced confidence issues, low self-esteem, who are exploring their gender identity, bereavement, anxiety, low mood, looked after and adopted children, abuse and trauma, neurodiversity or mental health diagnoses and young people who are no longer in education and work in a good-natured and productive way.
Annabell uses creative ways, to help the client to communicate their inner experience in what they are feeling, using various resources that encourages the client to look at ways to manage their anxiety, social life, improving their mood, building their self-esteem. She believes that when we are nurtured and encouraged, we all have the capacity to overcome the challenges in our lives.
It maybe that you are going through a challenging time now due to something that is occurring in the present or something that happened a long time ago. Annabell is open to work through your issues, exploring your thoughts and feelings and raising your self-awareness, that can support you in finding and learning the tools you need to move forward and make positive changes, creating a better quality of life and aspiring to come to a resolution.
