Paul Reynolds
Paul is a person centred counsellor with experience working with young people within areas such as abuse, trauma, self-esteem, anxiety and gender identity. He uses an empathetic approach to help enable clients to process difficult emotions and feelings.
Paul creates a safe, non-judgemental environment to explore feelings and emotions. This helps to begin to understand the process for personal growth and self-awareness. Which is paramount within the therapeutic process as we are working together at times with difficult experiences and feelings.
Paul works within an integrative model which includes using cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic approaches. My main drive as a counsellor is to offer my clients autonomy in a safe and nurturing environment.
I believe this therapeutic approach offers young people a place in which they can explore the complex emotions that come with moving into adulthood. With a clearer understanding of issues which can include relationships, sexuality, stress or anxiety, young people can be better prepared to take on challenges now and well into adulthood.
